What are the active ingredients in the Nerve Renew?

Methylcobalamin (a form of Vitamin B12 also called Methyl-B12) Benfotiamine (a new, more effective, form of B1) Stabilized R-Alpha lipoic Acid.

In addition to these active ingredients, Nerve Renew also contains the following ingredients to support healthy nerve function:

Vitamin D, Riboflavin (Vitamin B2), Vitamin B6, Feverfew, Passionflower, Skullcap, and Oat Straw.

What is Methylcobalamin (Methyl B12)? How is it different from ordinary vitamin B12?

The most common B12 used in supplements is called Cyanocobalamin. It is a synthetic form of vitamin B12. Methylcobalamin is the naturally occurring form of Vitamin B12.

The body must convert Cyanocobalamin to Methylcobalamin in order to get adequate levels of Methyl B12 into the blood system. As the body gets older, it loses its ability to convert Cyanocobalamin to Methylcobalamin and absorption drops to as little as 1% of the amount taken. Studies have shown that the body excretes 3x as much Cyanocobalamin thru urine than Methylcobalamin, suggesting that Methylcobalamin may be retained better by the body.

Methylcobalamin is the form of vitamin B12 that can be directly utilized by the body and is more effectively retained. It is now available in our proprietary blend.

What is Benfotiamine? How is it different from ordinary vitamin B1?

Benfotiamine is a new type of vitamin B1. It is fat-soluble unlike Thiamine B1 which is water soluble. The result is that Benfotiamine can dramatically increase the levels of B1 in the bloodstream to help support nerve health. Studies have shown Benfotiamine to be absorbed 360% better than other, more common, forms of vitamin B1.

What is the difference between R-Alpha Lipoic Acid and S-Alpha Lipoic Acid? And why is your R-ALA stabilized?

While Alpha Lipoic Acid provides powerful support for healthy nerve function - not all forms of it are created equally. The two most common forms of Alpha Lipoic Acid are:

R-Alpha Lipoic Acid (naturally occuring)

S-Alpha Lipoic Acid (synthetic form)

Most nerve supplements use S-Alpha Lipoic Acid because it’s cheaper to produce.

But research has shown that S-ALA is not as easily absorbed into your body, and may even inhibit the nerve-benefitting properties of natural Alpha Lipoic Acid.

Which is why we use only 100%, stabilized R-Alpha Lipoic Acid in our products. It’s more expensive to use due to a limited harvesting season & special care required to maintain its potency, but this ensures you’re getting the most powerful support.

And we’ve taken it one step further...

Alpha Lipoic Acid is an extremely unstable molecule. Exposure to heat causes it to quickly degrade and lose its potency.

For that reason, the Alpha Lipoic Acid in our supplements undergoes a complex stabilization process to ensure that by the time it reaches your medicine cabinet, it will have the same potency as the day it was harvested...

So you get the peace of mind knowing you're getting maximum benefit.

How does Nerve Renew compare to other nerve supplements?

If you do a side-by-side comparison of our formula with other nerve supplements, you’ll find Nerve Renew is in a league of its own.

That’s because most other nerve supplements out there cut costs by skimping on ingredients or settling for less-effective forms of the most important vitamins & antioxidants.

Take Alpha Lipoic Acid, for example.

It’s one of the most effective antioxidants for nerve health. But there are different forms of it. Most supplements use S-ALA…a synthetic version created in a lab. While cheaper to manufacture, the synthetic version is unable to bind with key enzymes in your body and is less effective as an antioxidant.

We use R-Alpha Lipoic Acid…which is the naturally occurring form. It binds with key enzymes AND is up to 10x stronger than S-ALA.

Not only that, but our R-Alpha Lipoic Acid is stabilized. Alpha Lipoic Acid is an extremely unstable molecule – meaning even the slightest exposure to light, heat, or moisture can cause it to deteriorate rapidly. Non-stabilized alpha lipoic acid supplements will quickly lose their potency during manufacturing or while travelling across the country in the back of hot trucks on their way to store shelves.

The same goes for ALL the ingredients in our formula. We use the most bioavailable forms of vitamins like B12, B6, B2, and B1…as well as potent herbs to support your overall nerve health.

Are there any side effects?

There have been numerous clinical trials using these supplements and they have been found to be safe and well tolerated, even in much higher doses than we are using in the Nerve Renew.

In rare instances, some may experience these mild side effects:

Stomach discomfort may occur due to the high levels of Vitamin B12. If you have a sensitive stomach or experience stomach discomfort when taking Nerve Renew, we recommend starting with half the dosage for the first 7 days to build tolerance. After 7 days, if you are not experiencing discomfort, increase to the full dosage and monitor your comfort level.

Additionally, because our formula contains the antioxidant R-Alpha Lipoic Acid, some may notice more bowel movements during the first few days as it rids the body of toxins. This will typically subside after a day or two.

If you experience any adverse reactions to our formula, we recommend discontinuing use and consulting with your doctor.

Can I take Nerve Renew along with my current medications?

The naturally occurring ingredients in Nerve Renew are generally safe to take with prescription medications, but we recommend consulting with your physician or pharmacist first.

Because some prescriptions can temporarily inhibit the body’s ability to absorb nutrients, we recommend taking Nerve Renew either 30 mins before or after taking your prescriptions. This will ensure more of the ingredients in Nerve Renew are absorbed into your system.

If you are taking insulin or medications to lower blood sugar, talk to your doctor first before taking Nerve Renew. Nerve Renew contains Alpha Lipoic Acid, a potent antioxidant with nerve regenerating properties. ALA may enhance the effect of these medications - potentially resulting in low blood sugar - so your doctor may recommend an increase in monitoring of blood sugar levels or an adjustment in your medication.
